It's never too late to learn a new language!
You can be hearing, deaf or hard of hearing is doesn't matter.

Infants can learn to sign and communicate with those around them as early as seven  months old, long before they are capable of speech.

Toddlers, pre-schoolers and kindergarteners love to sign. In the classroom or at home, sign language enhances the learnng experience. Small children are little sponges, they crave knowledge and absorb information around them all the time.

Older children who are taught math and reading skills with sign language as another component can grasp concepts easier.

American Sign Language can also be used with children or adults with down syndrome, autism or learning disablities in the classroom or at home.  Having a way to communicate with others, whether through voice or sign language is what life is all about.
